Stories
The "Stories" section consists of excerpts from rough drafts of various story ideas. Some of what I am sharing here so far has been written for National Novel Writing Month and is in its beginning stages. I enjoy writing because I enjoy being absorbed in something I have created. The Avenathus Chronicles is the most notable example of my absorption in my writing, because I have created not just a plot and some characters, but an entire world. As for the rest, I have written it for fun, and I'm sure you'll enjoy going through some poorly written NaNoWriMo attempts, if that is your cup of tea.
The Avenathus Chronicles
A fantasy trilogy set in a wide-reaching universe parallel to our own.
Golden Roses
NaNoWriMo 2006 win; an American girl gets stranded on a tropical island and must adjust to a new culture and a new life.
Aphrodite
NaNoWriMo 2008 win; a girl abused in her youth explores love, sexuality, and humanity as she grows older. (Trigger warning for abuse survivors.)
Poetry
I began writing poetry around 2001 and have accumulated quite a collection since then. I have obviously grown a lot as a person during this time, and I definitely do not profess to have written anything truly worth reading, or of any respectable or literary quality. In any case, my poetry has a lot of sentimental value for myself and for the people about whom it is written. I enjoy looking back on my poetry, and even though a lot of it is not very good, I like to share it with others as evidence of the person I used to be and the person I have become.2001
