Starlight

He's won the starlight in my heart
And tenderly expressed for me
A love which fuels my every part
And shimmers like sunlight upon the sea
A love which cannot be torn apart
And lines me in and out with glee

For I walked along the barren road
For many months alone
I carried on my back a burdened load
And felt crushed by one whole giant stone
Until something pushed away the cold
And sweetly cured the wounds I'd been blown

I was falling from the night
And I could not fly as he flies
So he simply took me, and like a kite
Lifted me into raven skies
Until I filled the land with my light
Fueled by the starlight that glowed in his eyes
